All elementary students are introduced to the arts from the moment they arrive at Trafton. Each student attends weekly music classes in preparation for the Holiday and Spring Musicals, as well as weekly art classes to help develop their creative talents. | ||

Field Trips |
Trafton wants to ensure a good balance between the classroom and experiences outside of school. Trafton makes field trips a major part of a student's education, with frequent excursions to museums, plays, and other places to enhance their learning experience or to just have some fun. | ||

| Camp Tejas | At the end of the school year, Trafton's elementary students are treated to three days at Camp Tejas in the Texas Hill Country. There, they swim, kayak, fish, take hayrides, and much more. It is a welcome vacation after a year of hard work. | ||

| Grades 7-8: | |||
| Texas History Trip | Every October, Trafton's 7th and 8th graders take an educational three day trip across Texas. They learn about our state's history, culture, and geography. It is a great opportunity to get out of Houston and see everything Texas has to offer. | ||

| Spring Trip | Each May, upper school students have the opportunity to travel to an exciting destination outside of Texas. Past trips include Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Colorado and New Mexico, and Disneyworld in Florida. | ||

| Bowling Parties | Trafton hosts bowling parties at Palace Lanes several times a year, the largest being the Beginning-of- the-Year Party hosted by the Trafton Cheerleading Squad. This is a great opportunity for returning students to reconnect, and for new students to make friends and meet their teachers. | ||

| Swimming Parties | Trafton is conveniently located next to Willow Pool in Meyerland, which provides the school with the opportunity to host swimming parties at the beginning and end of the school year. Students swim, play in pick-up basketball and volleyball games, and relax in the sun. | ||

| Yearbook Party | Trafton also hosts a unique event at the beginning of each year - the Yearbook Party. To ensure that all the events from the previous year are chronicled, yearbooks are printed in the summer and distributed in the fall at an annual get-together for current and former students. | ||

| Fall Carnival | Trafton spares no expense when hosting the annual Fall Carnival, where students, parents, and friends enjoy games, rides, and great food. Attractions include a climbing wall, a cakewalk, and of course, a dunking booth. This past year Trafton also held a raffle to raise money for a private school in Galveston that was hit hard by Hurricane Ike. One lucky parent won a 46" LCD television. | ||
